THE PROBLEM is that written English is complicated. Current English uses 244 combinations of letters to make 40 sounds. Throw in the many silent letters and it is no wonder many people need special help. Most reading systems teach memorization of the 244 letter combinations. Usually it takes a teacher trained in the system and one-on-one help for a long time.
THE SOLUTION is Nardagani, it teaches only the 40 sounds of English.

The Hero (that's you) simply reads the one page guide to the Sound Map as you go through the pages of the Sound Map with the challenged reader. The book is for practicing the 40 sounds and to feel the flow of reading. Maybe read the first couple pages together, then hand it off and relish in the miracle... Within a week there is no more challenge to reading. Words now have meaning, everywhere.
HOW NARDAGANI WORKS. First I listed the 40 sounds of English. I set aside the letters of the alphabet that "Play Fair," they only make one sound. B, F, H, J, K, L, M, P, Q, R, V, W, X, Z. The 12 letters that do not "Play Fair," in combination or individually, make up the other 26 sounds of English.
When you see a symbol or a letter below a letter, make the sound below. For example:
The "O" makes five sounds:
1. It says its name as in "toe." When a letter says its name, no symbol is needed.
2. Its short sound shows two dots under the "O" in "fox"
3. The sound called Schwa shows an upside-down e under the "O" in "cover" (every vowel can make the Schwa)
4. It's fourth sound shows a triangle under the "OO" in "spoon"
5. It's fifth sound shows a diamond under the "OO" in "foot"
The "S" makes three sounds:
1. It says its name in "snake"
2. It says the "Z" sound in "is." You will see a "z" under the "s" in "is."
3. It says the "SH" sound in "sugar." You will see a symbol under the "s" that looks like your finger over your lips saying "Shhh."
The "SH" sound can be made in 4 ways:
1. It says "sh" in "sheep."
2. It says "sh" with only the "s" in "sugar."
3. It says "sh" with a "t" in "nation."
4. It says "sh" with a "c" in "social."
The silent letters are rampant. When you see a letter underlined you know it does not make a sound, as in toe.
